Meg Corvus has lived in Israel with her family for most of the past 26 years. She is a firm believer in God, and His plans and purposes for all the peoples of the Middle East. Her desire to ‘hear’ the heart of the sons of Abraham has taken her to very diverse, interesting and sometimes amusing places. (She’s still looking for the sons of Keturah – shoot her an email if you have any info!)
She was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, growing up in a Christian home where she was taught that true Christianity means laying your life down for your neighbor, regardless of skin color, race or religion or any other difference. Her parents were both very active in the church and ministry. In addition, being raised near Dearborn, Michigan, which has the world’s largest Arab population outside of the Middle East, helped shape her awareness of the multi-millenial relationship between Jews and Arabs.
In her early 20’s she traveled, moved, and found her niche in the corporate hi-tech world, both in marketing and project management. In her mid-20’s, she wanted to volunteer internationally, and through a series of events, ended up volunteering for two weeks in Israel. She fell in love with the land and people of Israel, both Jew and Arab. During her move to the Washington, D.C. area, she met her husband. Shortly after this, they moved to Israel while she was pregnant with their first child.
They spent the first 10 years in Haifa, Israel and Isfiya, a Druze village on the Haifa border, settling in and building a life with Jews, Muslims, Christian Arabs and Druze. In the early 2000’s, she and her husband began conducting seminars on health and healing from a faith-based perspective. Meg has created and implemented projects working with Palestinian women, youth, homeless Jews and Arabs and refugees from multiple countries.
